MR NOT RIGHT NOW (MUSIC VIDEO)

This was the first original song Sasha Taylor, Kristine Botha and Jessica Kent ever wrote together. We were lucky enough to be able to record it in a studio back in 2014 and we decided to edit together a little music video of that experience. We hope you like it and if you do, make sure to subscribe for more music!

Lyrics by Kristine Botha and Jessica Kent
Music by Sasha Taylor

You and I would fit so flawlessly
Inside the pages of a perfect love story
We’d meet on a Thursday afternoon
I’d trip and fall right into you
You’d smile and say ‘That’s okay”
Then we’d make plans for our first date
But things just don’t work out that way

We don’t get to pen the scratches on the page
Sometimes plans don’t fall right into place
And the authors always seem to get their way
Every story needs a little heartbreak
I hope maybe someday somehow
You won’t be Mr Not Right Now

The second verse of the hit song plays
Reached the end of the honeymoon phase
Your little quirks aren’t so cute anymore
Even heroes have a fatal flaw
You say we need some time apart
To fine-tune our conflicting hearts
Maybe we’ll meet again someday
But things just don’t work out that way

We don’t get to keep the melody the same
Sometimes plans don’t fall right into place
The composers always seem to get their way
Every song needs a little heartbreak
I hope maybe someday somehow
You won’t be Mr Not Right Now

I hope maybe someday somehow
You won’t be Mr Not Right Now

Do do do do
Do do do do

In a motion picture we’d be the leads
Music swells at your epiphany
Win me back with a quick soliloquy
Rain pours. We kiss. End scene.
